Let's see, Bush gives a speech to the Israeli Knesset in which he compared those who would talk with Iran to those who would have talked to Adolf Hitler, and there's no shortage of outrage from Democrats and their MSM allies for Bush linking Obama, who is open to having discussions with Iran's terrorist leaders, to those who foolishly stood by and did nothing while Hitler got going in the 1930s.
Then along comes global warming alarmist Al Gore who, in a commencement address at Carnegie Mellon, favorably compared those fighting global warming with those fighting fascism during World War II and challenged them to become America's 'third hero generation' (the first two being our founding fathers and, of course, those who defeated Hitler and Japan in World War II)... .... which, if I'm not mistaken, would make those opposed to the global warming hysteria the climate equivalents of Hitler and the British who we had to fight to gain our freedom. If it is (supposedly) wrong for Bush to (implicitly) accuse those who don't share his thinking on a matter as serious as terrorism of being coddlers and dangerous to our national security, wouldn't it be just as wrong for Gore to (implicitly) accuse those who don't share his thinking on a matter as (allegedly) serious as global warming of being dangerous to our country's health and well-being? Or is only wrong when a conservative (as perceived by the MSM, as Bush is no conservative) criticizes a liberal's policies? Now, Gore didn't come right out and say that we're Nazis, he left us to listen between the lines and figure that out for ourselves (as I have just done). But neither did Bush mention Obama by name and he got all sorts of flak and criticism for his speech. I'm waiting for the outrage from all those who criticized Bush. And no, I'm not holding my breath.
