As to the terrorist plot to attack Ramstein Air Force Base, had the authorities not moved in, I wonder if the Airmen guarding the base would have done a better job of repelling the attack than did the Marines in Beirut or the sailors aboard the USS Cole.
Of course, it would help if they were issued live ammunition for their weapons and given the green light to shoot...
