Given that, notwithstanding their complaints to the contrary, the push by the Europeans to get rid of Wolfowitz as head of the World Bank has absolutely nothing to do with the particulars of the supposed conflict and everything to do with their wanting to stick it to (1) Wolfowitz, an early supporter of the Iraq invasion, (2) Bush in particular, and (3) America in general, I would think that the Bush Administration would completely dig in its heels and prevent Wolfowitz from being forced out.

Of course, as the Bush Administration has shown time and time again, it is more than willing to bend over and take one in the rear in hopes that doing so will make our supposed European allies like us once again, I would hope that Wolfowitz isn't planning on having his job much longer...
