If, as I hinted at last week, Bush wasn't all the bent out of shape over the GOP losing control of the House as that makes it much more likely that he'll get his (don't call it amnesty) immigration bill, it would also make sense for Bush to push Florida Senator Mel Martinez, the co-sponsor of the don't-call-it-amnesty legislation, to head the Republican National Committee...
... for what better way to ensure that the party apparatus - and all the money and infrastructure - is behind Bush's pet project than to put a buddy - and like mind on immigration- in charge? |
