Is the Bush Administration really that clueless... or is there more to the story that meets the eye?
I've been puzzled that the Bush Adminstration, for all its supposed indignation over the NYT story on the SWIFT program, hasn't done much except huff and puff a bit. Not only have there been no announcements of investigations into the leak, and no pulling the NYT press credentials, the NYT and LAT were actually on the guest list of a state dinner... So... maybe I was right that the Administration is not that unhappy with what has transpired? I'd hope this isn't the case, but I sure can't think of anything else to explain the Administration's actions - and inactions - over the past week... |
