There is an incredible quote in this week's Newsweek story on the Duke lacrosse story...

Chan Hall, a student at the same college attended by the alleged victim (and presumably black, as the college is described as "mostly black") was quoted as saying that he "wanted to see the Duke students prosecuted "whether it happened or not".

Amazing how some people have such a racial chip on their shoulder - and a total lack of respect for due process and fair play - that they actually want the two Duke students who were arrested to have to suffer through a trial - and possible conviction - for no other reason than, again quoting Hall, it "would be justice for things that happened in the past".

What the heck, Hall, I'm not happy that I got my butt kicked while I was in fourth grade (hey, the other guy was in sixth grade)... how about I get to kick your butt now? Justice for what happened in the past, right?

Just noticed that Betsy had this earlier this morning...
