NYT story that Bush "favors plans to give millions of illegal immigrants a chance at U.S. citizenship without leaving the country, but does not want to be more publicly supportive because of opposition among conservative House Republicans, according to senators who attended a recent White House meeting" sure isn't going to go over well with the base. Jeez, even in Clinton's most triangulating of days, I don't think the Democratic base had to worry about Clinton secretly selling them out on an issue that was as important to them as dealing with the illegal immigrants is to much of the GOP base.
I can't wait to Bush's highly-touted new press secretary deal with the hostile questions he is sure to get at his next press conference.
Oh, that's right, like Bush, the MSM is in favor of amnesty for illegals, so there won't be any hostile questions... just softballs that even Scott McClellan could hit out of the park...
And not that Bush will be listening, now that Michelle Malkin is on the case, I would expect that Bush is going to be hearing from a whole lot of angry people on this...
