'Dying was a great career move' is something that has been said of Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix... three somewhat middling talents whose album sales, had they lived, would never have been as high as they in fact have been.

And the more I read of the pathetic Teddy Kennedy, the more I realize that his brother's deaths turned out to be great for Teddy's career. For if they had lived, Teddy Kennedy would have been Billy Carter before Billy Carter... a buffoon living off his brother's success and skill. He never would have lasted in the Senate as long as he has. But, because he is the last one of the clan, those who celebrated John and Bobby have no one else... so as pathetic as he is, he's all the liberals have.

Just another reason to wish the Kennedy assassins had missed...
