pulling back from plans to require passports for border crossings because, he says, "it's going to disrupt the honest flow of traffic". No kidding, George. Beefing up security disrupts things. Beefing up airport security disrupts my ability to get on a plane as easily as I used to be able to (personal record: office in Alexandria VA to apartment in NYC via the US Air Shuttle in less than 1 1/2 hours... honest!). But beefing up security also disrupts the ability of terrorists to get on a plane as easily as they used to be able to do. Just as requiring passports at border crossings will disrupt the ability of people to sneak into the country.... which is what we are trying to do. Isn't that right, George?
